Simple one year old studio session | Raleigh studio photographer | Fuquay-Varina baby photography

As I look around my living room, I can count 16 photos of my kids. I’m a little obsessive, I get it. But, in not one of those, is a photo of their first birthday with a cute hat on, face covered in cake. Do I still have those photos? Absolutely. They just aren’t the ones I choose to print & frame. When this mama was a deciding on what to do for her daughter’s one year session, she knew she wanted some images that were typical for a birthday, but some just very polished portraits that are more suitable for printing. I think the combination of these two are a perfect option. Here is a collage of Madeline’s first year studio session.

In studio, we can achieve a variety of shots in a short amount of time… because, let’s be honest. One year olds are almost like ticking time bombs and we are not sure how long they will be in good moods.

I just love this up close look at her beautiful face and bright eyes!

And here are some birthday shots! Classic and timeless. Mom chose to not do any sort of cake smash (or donuts in her case) and instead we added in my wooden cake prop for fun.

Happy Birthday! It seems like yesterday that I was doing your newborn session. Check that out here.
