Seven Month Sitter Milestone Photography Session in Studio :: Raleigh Baby Photos

I usually get asked what my favorite age to photograph is… and this is it. I love that time frame between sitting up and walking. They still have some baby chunk, they usually love to smile & laugh, and they’re just so darn cute! Milestone sessions are a great way to capture baby after the newborn phase, but before the “big kid” phase. Most parents choose to do their milestone sessions before the first birthday so that they can still capture the sweetness that is the infant stage. These are also usually stress-free sessions for parents. They’re getting more sleep at night, they’ve settled into a pretty good routine, and they’ve gotten to know what makes their baby happy/sad. Compared to the blur that is the newborn stage, milestone sessions are usually fun for everyone involved! I recommend having these sessions to display the milestones that they meet, such as tummy time & head control; sitting up unassisted; crawling & pulling up; and then walking. Every baby will reach these “milestones” at different ages so there isn’t a set age to when you should have these photos taken. This is baby E during his 7 month session. He was full of smiles & loved to show off his muscles to push up. He wasn’t quite sitting unassisted but we used a wooden prop & had parents close by to make sure he was safe when sitting in his tripod position. Reach out to schedule your milestone session in studio!
