First Birthday Photo Session - Raleigh One Year Old Photography

A child’s first birthday is such an exciting time. You’ve made it through the sleepless newborn nights, the baby proofing once they started crawling, and now you have a little human who has a personality that might be on the verge of being able to walk. Babies change so much in the first year and develop so many new skills. First birthday photo sessions are some of my favorites to capture. I usually do some portraits of baby on my solid white backdrop so parents can have a timeless photo of their baby to cherish. Then, I usually swap in the birthday decor such as white balloons and the letters O-N-E. If parents bring a cake, then we let baby go to town and see what they think of the sweet icing or yummy cake. Sometimes they love it, sometimes they could care less. That’s why if you’d rather not have cake, we can always just use the wooden cake prop. It is a completely customizable session that works for you and baby!
