I love the NCMA. It has so much to offer and so much variety. This particular session took place in early fall. They had a field of sunflowers and wildflowers that gave us a great backdrop for images. As with any flowers, as soon as they bloom, the clock is ticking.. so if you are interested in sunflower or wildflower pictures, we have to act fast before they dry out! For cake smash sessions with an outfit change, I always suggest booking at least a 30 minute session. That way there is plenty of time for each set up. If you’d like to get family images during a cake smash session, that is fine too! We started in the flower field and ended by the little bridge. I just love this little girl’s outfit and her cake is so cute!! You never know how babies will react to a cake, especially if they’ve never eaten it before. My daughter wanted nothing to do with it, so just be prepared that yours could also care less about the cake. Luckily, I am always able to get some images before, during, and after the cake that make special memories to commemorate their first birthday! In the end, I’d say she had a good time!
