Studio Newborn Session | Raleigh Swaddled Newborn Session

Oh my gosh… so many things to say about this sweet newborn session! I had the pleasure of taking mom’s maternity photos prior to this and she wore the same dress (hopefully I’ll find the time to blog those because they’re GORG.). The light blue attire looks so good in the crisp, white studio. And, since the dress was also worn as a maternity dress, it allows mom’s postpartum body to be a little hidden and she can feel like the beauty she is! They welcomed their little guy and he was so alert. Once we swaddled him, he settled into a deep sleep and was so content. I love that we even got some awake shots of him. When I unsaddle baby, I like to have them naturally be able to pose themselves. I let them stretch, wiggle, and kick. I think some of the best portraits are when baby can just be like a baby in their most comfortable positions. Enjoy his images!
