Holly Springs Studio Newborn Photography Session :: Clayton Newborn Photography

Can we talk about siblings and newborn photos? Sometimes siblings want NOTHING to do with their new sibling. It is understandable. There are a lot of things changing and going on in their little lives. They maybe haven’t quite processed the new dynamic. As much as I always love photographing siblings, you just never know what will happen. Sometimes, they refuse to be near the new baby. Sometimes they refuse to hold the new baby. Sometimes they are really loving and want to be in photos perfectly posed and smiling. Regardless, I bet we will still get some amazing shots to remember this time. And, can we just normalize the idea that kids are not on perfect behavior all the time and there is no need to apologize to ME for kids who don’t always sit still & smile?! It is fine, y’all. I am a mom of three, I get it. This big sister loved holding her sister, and even wanted to climb up and lay next to her when I laid her down. I love the candid moments that I was able to capture between these two. I also asked mom what colors she may want to incorporate a long with the normal white. She said pale yellow/green. I was so excited to bring a little spring into these set ups!
