{2021 Recap}

WOW! What an amazing year for my business. You guys are rockstars. I can’t believe that I even saw some of you THREE times this year! I am glad I am able to offer so much variety in the sessions, and I have great plans for 2022! My main sessions were newborns, families, and holiday sessions.

These are some of my squishy newborns I got to photograph in 2021. Most were lifestyle newborns, which is great if you love your home decor and want to capture real life moments. I moved into my new home in July and christened my in-home studio with a couple of studio newborns this year as well. I cannot wait for more! Newborns are best photographed in the first 3 weeks of life, so make sure you book yours before the blur of parenthood is upon you. I promise you will not want to forget those first few weeks!

Spring & Summer bring bright, green outdoor sessions. It can still be a tad cool, but at least you don’t deal with the humidity in the springtime. Since the sun sets so late in the summer, many of my summer sessions take place in the morning.

Oh, fall. How I love you. You can see in these images that the golden glow of autumn is wonderful in N.C. Peak leaf changing season tends to be around Halloween, but you only have 2-3 weeks before the trees have lost all of their leaves. Then, daylight savings hits, and we’re all miserable when it is dark by 5pm. These sessions all occurred at “golden hour,” or that lovely time period right before sunset. Love, love, love.

Not many stand alone maternity sessions this year, but I do love them! Maternity sessions focus on the mom, because, duh.. she’s awesome, and she is kind of growing a human. NBD. I didn’t have maternity photos taken for my first son, and I regret it. It is such a great way to document this miracle. In 2022, I am offering an exclusive mini maternity session to my newborn clients only. It will be quick, easy, and fun! You’ll also get to use any of my client closet maternity dresses if you’d like!

Holiday studio sessions were a HIT! I offered a couple of different set ups and I look forward to adding more this next year. I love the variety I was able to get in my studio. Most clients commented that this was a super easy experience, and they left there knowing their Christmas card photos were taken care of. Winning!

White studio sessions — my other favorite. I love them in color and black and white. I love seeing your kiddos personalities shine through. I have a variety of props available to use, and a couple of outfits for babies in my client closet. These are a great option for timeless portraits without all the frill & distractions. Just purely you & your family. I love it!

Let’s go 2022! I am ready for you!

~Amy
