I have been a little MIA with the blog lately, and it was not intentional.  Life just gets in the way :) I wanted to make sure I did an update post on a mama I recently photographed for her maternity session.  You can check back on her session here. Rebecca requested something interesting -- she wanted the traditional newborn session with the squishy poses, and she wanted to recreate one of her maternity portraits but now holding her precious baby girl.  How sweet is this image?!

In addition to the in-studio newborn session, mom and dad wanted some photos taken in their home to showcase the  furniture the baby's grandfather had hand crafted.  With lifestyle-type newborn sessions, the focus in on family and being in their own environment.  I love the photo-journalistic style of it.

I love that we could do the "best of both worlds" in terms of traditional newborn and lifestyle newborn sessions for this growing family! Congrats on your new addition!
